When you first run the app, you will see the SWITCH homepage and the new BeDigital on the left sidebar menu. Clicking on the BeDigital tab will take you to a page where you can see your BeDigital score and keep track of your progress.

You can also click on the progress bar next to your profile picture (on the top-right corner) to go to BeDigital.

Click here to watch the navigation video.

BeDigital page on SWITCH lists out all the courses that you must complete. It takes around 20 hours to complete BeDigital. Dedicate 10-15 minutes daily/week for two months and you'll be on track for a 100% score!

To complete the curriculum, start by choosing from any of the topics listed in the BeDigital page. For example, clicking on Mindset & Ways of Working will take you to lessons related to Agile, Customer Centricity and Innovation. Clicking on Agile will then take you to all lessons listed under the topic. Make sure to read the lessons or watch the videos to complete the content.

Note: If you are a long-time SWITCH user, you may have completed some of the content in the BeDigital curriculum. If you have completed the content, it will be listed under “Completed”. If you have not completed the content, it will be listed under “Uncompleted”.

Yes, you can come back to SWITCH any time to complete any lesson. As lessons in SWITCH take three minutes or less to complete, you would need to complete a content from the start if you stopped half-way previously.

However, for e-learning modules that you need to complete on myLearningX, you may resume where you left off at any time.

You can turn on the toggle button switch between views. The toggle button is set by default to show lessons that are within the BeDigital curriculum. Dragging the toggle button to the right will show all lessons in the track (those in and outside of the BeDigital curriculum).

You can click on the BeDigital tab or click on the progress bar next to your profile picture to view your personal dashboard.

For SWITCH content, your score will increase upon completing any content.

For courses that you need to complete in myLearningX, your score will increase only upon completing all the required modules within the course.

Please allow 24 hours for your BeDigital score meter to reflect 100% if the Citizen Analytics Level 1 course is the last content that you completed.

The indicator on the right side of your progress meter tracks your overall progress for the week. It will show an increase in percentage for all the content you have completed this week in the following week.

Yes, your dashboard captures completion records of content that you have completed in the past as well as recently completed ones.

There are 2 types of content: lessons and challenges.

Lessons help you increase your knowledge about Digital. Challenges test what you have learned.

Under Challenges, SWITCH also runs its monthly Be the SWITCH Quizzard campaign on the last Thursday of the month (unless stated otherwise) from February to November of the year. These are time-limited quizzes that test your knowledge on the featured topics. As a bonus, those who answer the quizzes during the given period stand to be rewarded with extra points.

Head over to lessons and challenges in the Learn and Challenge tab respectively to start your journey on SWITCH.

There are two types of SWITCH access namely Normal and Third Party, and these accesses are determined based on the user’s employment terms.

Permanent and Contract Direct Hire employees are given Normal SWITCH access, whereas Third Party employees (MSA contractors, interns and PROTEGEES) are given Third Party SWITCH access.

Users with Normal access can view content in the generalist tracks (e.g: Cyber Security, Data Science etc.) while users with Third Party access can only view content in the Cyber Security track. Regardless of the access users have, points are awarded to them upon completing content that carry points.

Rewards

You earn points whenever you complete a lesson or a challenge. Make sure to read, watch or submit content to ensure you get your points. Infocards (e.g. announcements) typically do not have points, as they are informational in nature, to support lessons, challenges or campaigns they are linked to. Watch out for additional bonus challenges where you can earn extra points or even a special achievement!

We have introduced the SWITCH Store, where you can use the points you've earned to redeem items to enhance the look of your SWITCH avatar. Show off your customised SWITCH avatar on your Profile and check out how your friends and colleagues have made their avatars special!

If you have a Mesra card, you may also convert SWITCH points to Mesra points for use in the Mesra store. Redeeming your SWITCH points on the SWITCH Store or converting to Mesra points will not drop your level, so redeem away!

[Note: MESRA points redemption is applicable only to users with Normal access (Permanent and Contract Direct Hires of PETRONAS). It is not applicable to staff with Third Party access (MSA contractors, interns and PROTEGEES).]

Differences of points can be due to the incorrect answers submitted for the challenges in Challenge Page. In most cases, correct answers will get 20 points and incorrect answers will get 10 points. There are also instances where double points are rewarded to those who participated in a certain campaign. So keep a look out for upcoming campaigns to race your way up on the Leaderboard!
